In the fall of 1986, Emmanuel - out of love - let Virginia take him on a journey through the rural suburbs of the Pays Noir to free David, sent to boarding school, with whom she is secretly in love. During this expedition, Emmanuel will be told by Virginie a heavy secret to carry that will upset the relational fabric of this love triangle, disrupt their values and put an end to their innocence.
