One summer evening Jack and his sister Nina see in the distance a river of migrants heading for an unknown destination. The next day, small red beads of solidified blood gradually fall from the void where Jack's heart was before. Sparrows eat them and it makes them laugh. Jack's metamorphosis shakes family relationships, friendships, presupposed determined relationships, migrants' lives and fixed ideas about the meaning of reality and the meaning of the possible. Nina and Jack will, with a light and determined mind, sensitive and open-minded, live their new life.
